Here’s a quick and tasty Shrimp and Snow Peas Stir-Fry recipe that’s perfect for a light, healthy meal:


Shrimp and Snow Peas Stir-Fry

🕒 Ready in 20 minutes | Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 cups snow peas, trimmed

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (e.g. canola or peanut oil)

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated (about 1 tsp)

  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional garnish)

  • Sesame seeds (optional garnish)

For the Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium if preferred)

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce for sweeter flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)

  • Red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha (optional for heat)


Instructions:

  1. Prep Sauce: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch slurry, and sugar. Set aside.

  2. Cook Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  3. Stir-Fry Veggies: Add remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add snow peas and cook for 2-3 minutes until just tender but still crisp.

  4. Combine: Return shrimp to the pan. Pour in the sauce. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another minute until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and peas.

  5. Garnish & Serve: Top with green onions and sesame seeds if using. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
