🍥 Cinnamon Roll – Cream Stream Recipe

🧁 Dough Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F/45°C)

  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg + 1 egg yolk, room temp

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ½ cup brown sugar (packed)

  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

💧 Cream Stream Glaze (pour-over cream):

  • ¾ cup heavy cream (room temperature)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

🍶 Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1–2 tbsp milk (to desired consistency)


🔧 Instructions:

1. Make the Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Stir in yeast and let sit for 5–10 mins until foamy.

  2. Mix in eggs, melted butter, and salt. Gradually add flour and knead until soft and elastic (8–10 minutes by hand or 5–6 mins in a stand mixer).

  3. Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1½ hours or until doubled.

2. Roll and Fill:

  1. Roll dough into a 14×9″ rectangle on a floured surface.

  2. Spread softened butter over dough, mix brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle evenly on top.

  3. Roll up tightly from the long side and slice into 9 large rolls.

3. Second Rise:

  1. Place rolls in a greased 9×13″ pan. Cover and let rise for 30–40 mins until puffy.

4. Bake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Before baking, pour the “Cream Stream” (heavy cream + vanilla) evenly over the risen rolls.

  3. Bake for 25–30 mins until golden brown and bubbly.

5. Frosting:

  1. While rolls cool slightly, beat together frosting ingredients until smooth.

  2. Spread over warm rolls for melty goodness.


🍽️ Serve Warm – the cream stream makes the bottom gooey and caramelized, while the frosting tops it off with tangy sweetness.
