SHREDDED BRUSSEL SPROUTS WITH BACON AND BALSAMIC GLAZE

Certainly! Shredded Brussels sprouts with bacon and balsamic glaze make for a flavorful and satisfying dish. Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for you to try:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 4 slices of bacon, diced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • Grated parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Trim the stems of the Brussels sprouts and remove any discolored outer leaves. Shred the Brussels sprouts using a sharp knife or a food processor fitted with a shredding attachment.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until it becomes crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon from the skillet and set it aside on a plate lined with paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for a minute or until fragrant.
  4. Add the shredded Brussels sprouts to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. Season the Brussels sprouts with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Stir in the cooked bacon and mix everything together.
  7. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the Brussels sprouts and bacon, and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Cook for an additional minute or until the glaze has slightly caramelized and coated the Brussels sprouts and bacon.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with grated parmesan cheese if desired.
