Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle is a decadent dessert that layers creamy cheesecake filling, rich chocolate, and Baileys Irish Cream, creating an indulgent treat. Here’s a simple recipe to make this delicious dessert:

Ingredients:

For the Chocolate Cake:

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix (or homemade chocolate cake)
  • Ingredients called for on the cake mix box (usually eggs, oil, and water)

For the Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (melted, optional)

For the Baileys Whipped Cream Layer:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream

For the Chocolate Ganache (optional):

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Chocolate Cake:

  • Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  • Prepare the cake as directed on the package, then bake and allow it to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, cut the cake into cubes or chunks.

2. Make the Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Layer:

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Add Baileys Irish Cream, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and melted chocolate (if using). Mix until smooth and well combined.

3. Make the Baileys Whipped Cream Layer:

  • Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and Baileys Irish Cream until soft peaks form.

4. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache (optional):

  • Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Stir until smooth.

5. Assemble the Trifle:

  • In a large trifle dish or individual serving glasses, layer the chocolate cake cubes, followed by a layer of Baileys chocolate cheesecake mixture, then a layer of whipped cream.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream.
  • Drizzle the chocolate ganache on top and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, if desired.

6. Chill:

  • Cover the trifle and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.

7. Serve:

  • Once chilled, serve and enjoy this indulgent, creamy, and boozy dessert!
