The steak is cooked in a flavorful garlic butter, then paired with a Parmesan-infused cream sauce that adds richness and a hint of sharpness. Here’s a simple recipe to prepare this indulgent dish:

Ingredients:

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb (450g) steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank steak), cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

For the Steak Bites:

  1. Prep the Steak: Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Cook the Steak:
    • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
    • Add the steak cubes in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear the steak bites for about 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness.
    • Once the steak bites are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set them aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter:
    • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Return the steak bites to the skillet, and toss them in the garlic butter to coat. Sauté for another minute or two, allowing the garlic butter to infuse into the steak bites.

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

  1. Heat the Sauce:
    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and then add the heavy cream. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
    • Reduce the heat to low and add the Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly until the sauce becomes thick and creamy. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Season the Sauce:
    • Add the garlic powder, onion powder (optional), salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
  3. Combine the Steak and Sauce:
    • Pour the creamy Parmesan sauce over the garlic butter steak bites, and gently toss to combine.
  4. Serve:
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
    • Serve the steak bites hot, either on their own or alongside mashed potatoes, pasta, or a fresh salad.

Tips:

  • Steak Choice: Ribeye, sirloin, or flank steak work best for this recipe due to their tenderness and flavor.
  • Doneness: For medium-rare steak, cook for about 2-3 minutes per side. For medium, 4 minutes per side should suffice.
  • Parmesan: Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
