3 Potato Salad

Here are 3 delicious potato salad recipes with different flavor profiles—classic, creamy, and tangy:


🥔 1. Classic American Potato Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet), peeled and cubed

  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped

  • ¾ cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 2 tbsp chopped dill pickles or relish

  • ¼ cup chopped celery

  • ¼ cup chopped onion

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (10–12 min). Drain and cool.

  2. In a large bowl, mix mayo, mustard, pickles, celery, and onion.

  3. Add potatoes and eggs. Toss gently.

  4. Chill for at least 1 hour. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.


🥔 2. Creamy Sour Cream & Chive Potato Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs baby red potatoes, quartered

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh chives

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Boil potatoes until tender, about 12–15 min. Drain and cool slightly.

  2. Mix sour cream, mayo, mustard, and chives.

  3. Gently stir in warm potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Chill before serving for best flavor.


🥔 3. German Warm Potato Salad (Vinegar-Based)

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs red potatoes, sliced

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped

  • ½ cup chopped onion

  • ⅓ cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions:

  1. Boil potatoes until tender, then drain.

  2. In a pan, cook bacon until crispy. Remove bacon, keep 2 tbsp bacon fat.

  3. In the same pan, sauté onions in bacon fat. Add vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer 2–3 min.

  4. Toss warm potatoes with dressing and bacon.

  5. Garnish with parsley. Serve warm.
