Ingredients:

  • 1 beef roast (such as chuck roast or sirloin roast)
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 envelope Italian dressing mix
  • 1 envelope brown gravy mix
  • 1 1/2 cups water or beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: vegetables like carrots, potatoes, and onions

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the dry onion soup mix, Italian dressing mix, and brown gravy mix.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the beef roast, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  5. If using vegetables, arrange them in the bottom of a roasting pan.
  6. Place the seasoned beef roast on top of the vegetables, if using.
  7. Pour water or beef broth into the roasting pan.
  8. Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil or a lid.
  9. Roast in the preheated oven for about 3-4 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork. The cooking time may vary depending on the size of your roast.
  10. Once cooked, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  11. Serve the roast with the vegetables and any juices from the pan.
