2-Ingredient Dough for Irresistible Buns, Bagels

Here’s a simple 2-ingredient dough recipe perfect for making buns or bagels:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt. Mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
  3. Knead the Dough: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Shape: Divide the dough into equal portions. For bagels, shape each piece into a ball and then poke a hole in the center to form a ring. For buns, simply shape into balls.
  5. Bake: Place the shaped dough on the prepared baking sheet. You can brush the tops with a little egg wash for a golden finish if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Cool: Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Tips

  • Feel free to add seasonings or herbs to the dough for extra flavor.
  • You can also top bagels with sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or everything bagel seasoning before baking.
