15-Minute Pepper Steak Stir-Fry

Sure, here’s a simple recipe for Pepper Steak Stir-Fry that you can make in just 15 minutes:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat one tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak in a single layer and let it cook without stirring for about 1-2 minutes until it’s browned on one side. Then, stir-fry the beef for another 1-2 minutes until it’s cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
  6. Serve the pepper steak stir-fry hot over cooked rice.
